Youngsters make outstanding debut

Ladies 3's got off to a great start to the season winning away against Stevenage 0-1.
Three new junior players joined the team today and were understandably nervous. They really had no reason to be, as all three (Caitlin Bradshaw, Freya Bradshaw and Corin Lancaster) were outstanding! The new line up gelled well very quickly and half way through the first half captain Wendy Shepherd Roberts blasted the ball past the Stevenage keeper. The second half saw short corner after short corner awarded to S&S, but alas they were unable to convert them into goals. S&S had a majority of the possession and were unlucky not to build on their lead after wave upon wave of attacks on the Stevenage defence. Superb performance from every player.
