All is fair in dull, chilly morning

The Ladies 3s travelled to 6th place West Herts 4s on a dull, chilly morning. Once Sharon Wood had been prised into the size 4 camouflage keepers top (and renamed ‘Slender Shaz’) S&S were ready for combat! West Herts piled on the pressure from the off, but S&S dealt with it calmly and retaliated. A foul in the West Herts’ D and S&S were awarded a short corner. Alexander pushed out to Fury. Her shot rose and looked to start dipping, only for the keeper to block the shot with her pads. A fairly equal second half started and finished with honours even 0-0. S&S were pleased and chuffed with the draw. West Herts not so, once they were informed that they weren’t (as they thought) playing Shefford & Sandy 2s, but actually their 3s. Oh!! Fortunes are turning for the 3s and they eagerly look forward to next weeks fixture at Fortress Sandy. Girlie of the Game: Jacqui Pritchard
