Tournament report from Kaz Hall for the U14s.

We played a strong St Neots team and only conceded 1 goal due to some excellent keeping by Miles and last ditch defending by Rosamond and Aaron.
Our next team was St Ives A and we suffered a 4-0 defeat as they completely overwhelmed our defence with some excellent attacking play. Amy battled well on the left side of midfield, winning many tackles and showing experience beyond her years. Ailidh also worked hard on the right flank covering a lot of ground. St Ives B were next and Kane’s clearance found Toby, who almost scored after a solo run down the pitch saw his dipping shot saved on the line.
Finally we played March and despite playing our best hockey we again lost by one goal. Marcus and Jamie worked tirelessly in the centre of the pitch and created some chances but alas these could not be converted. Thank you also to Ashleigh who stood in at the last minute to help us out and to all the parents who came and supported us.

Player of the tournament went to Miles for some excellent Goal Keeping.
