However the fiesty U12/U14 mixed team were not going to take that lying down and pushed back with 4 superb goals. Fantastic team work created most of the chances and also great individual skill at the front from Kieran Gavin and Ben Lancaster.

The defence and midfield were not to be outdone, however, and our super Team-Bradshaw ( Freya and Caitlin) put in fabulous strong tackles and well balanced passes. Corin worked some real magic with her brother Ben pushing the ball back up the pitch to be picked up by Miles in the D. Ashleigh was always there to pick up any lose balls and press play forwards.

After a small reorganisation 2 more short matches were played resulting in the overall score of 10-4.

Special mention needs to go to Tom Cheyne who has only started playing hockey very recently and showed himself to be a player with good understanding of position and with promising attacking ability.
