What is a JDC and JAC ? How does the County system work?

Many of us are a bit confused about how the County systems work. What is JDC and JAC?

Junior Development Centres (JDCs) and Junior Academy Centres (JACs) are local training centres for U13 to U17 age groups. JDCs can be accessed through nominations from schools, clubs or coaches, with JACs open to any hockey player who has been nominated by a Junior Development Centre (JDC) coach.

We would like as many of our Juniors to attend the September JDC trials.

Last year all our boys who attended were accepted into the JDC and also passed trials into the JAC which ran after Christmas. Our girls also had some good success although the competition is usually a bit tougher for girls.
