Great season ends with a 3rd place

The U8s were in action today at our last tournament of the year at Luton. Like the U10s we had a full on schedule of back to back games.
We played 7 games, won 4 and drew 3, only conceding 1 goal in the whole tournament. The kids were all brilliant today, we scored some cracking goals, played some really lovely passing hockey and even better managed a draw against our nemesis team!
We finished 3rd overall, which was a great achievement and even better it was lovely to see them putting into practice what we have been coaching them.

Top goal scorers today were Katie and Simon, who both scored hat tricks in different games with goals also coming from Jack and Paddy. Digby and Beau made it almost impossible for anyone to get passed us, whilst Lewis ran tirelessly working his socks off.
It’s been a pleasure to coach the U8s this season and see how much they have all improved and I can’t wait to see the players they develop into as they progress up the club.
