SILVER Medal

The U8s finished their busy end of season run at the Leighton Buzzard tournament in thankfully better weather conditions than our last outing. We were once again fabulous - playing in a round robin tournament against 8 other teams. We won 6, drew 1 and narrowly lost one to our nemesis Leighton Buzzard! 21 points, 15 goals scored and only conceding 3 saw us finishing with the silver medal, narrowly missing out on the gold.
The kids were all amazing and watching them play makes me so proud - Alex once again controlled the back whilst also making some lovely runs and scoring some cheeky goals, Phoebe, Hannah and Paddy all worked incredibly hard in midfield never giving up and playing some beautiful passing hockey between them and finishing off with the upfront duo of Archie and Simon who both scored some fabulous goals and defended well from the front.
This silver sees us having collected 2nd place in the last 3 tournaments we have entered - a testament to how well they are playing and gelling as a team.
