Narrow defeat

The men's 4s hosted Rickmansworth in the late fixture at Sandy. With the exception of France and Coverdale filling in the old person quota the remaining players were all in the full freshness of youth. The Ricky XI all were considerably older, of the age where many of them probably listen to Radio 4 or would have remembered the late Terry Wogan in the early days of his career!

A balanced first half saw chances at each end with James Steer pulling off a string of saves during some continued Ricky pressure just before the break. A series of short corners were eventually put away by the oppo with 6 minutes of the game remaining. With Shefford unlucky to have a goal ruled out just before.

To be disappointed with a 1-0 defeat shows how far the young guns have come this year and shows the values of the S&S youth set up and the attitude they are promoting amongst the future club legends!!!
