So it turns out that an afternoon away fixture at Winchmore Hill is actually a bloomin long day out! Mixed in with constant drizzle , a changing room with no power , a chilly wind and several slightly aggravated geese watching on made for a bit of a journey!
Shefford started well and more than matched the opponents throughout the first half with Jack Prothero deputising well in goal and Toby Morlidge looking like a seasoned pro holding his own at right back.
The first half finished 0-0 and the Shefford boys decided to push on and take the game to the opposition. However a great strike from the top of the D ended up in the top corner of the goal early in the second half and a second followed 10 minuets later. However Shefford threatened right until the end with Maxted, Wood and Stone all creating chances and keeping the oppositions back 4 firmly routed in their final third! Darran France as ever being Mr Reliable in midfield and Lewis Barden continuing to improve week on week.
A 2-0 defeat but again another really pleasing performance against a side that will most probably finish runners up in the division.
