Good game good game
The Men's 4s make the journey to St Albans for a rather bouncy affair. Zach Christodoulou turned up on time after camping out at the meeting point overnight.
The game began and St Albans slotted one home with their first attack as Shefford failed to clear what should have been a routine interception. The game then was literally end to end for the remaining 68 minutes! The young guns of St Albans ran and ran and ran a bit more with the not so young guns of Barden, Coverdale, Gully, France and Maxted just about keeping them at bay! The first half finished 1-0 to the home side with Jack Prothero unlucky not to equalize just before the whistle.
The second half saw a repeat of the first half but Shefford got their reward with a Paul Barden thump into the D that was tucked away at the far post by Alistair Wood to even things up. The game could have gone either way with both sides creating chances at one end and defending with gusto at the other. James Steer pulling off a couple of handy saves in the process and Ed Murray-Clark again keeping their key players out of the game.
Final score 1-1 , a great game to be involved with and a top bunch of lads on both sides to give a good advert for the game at grassroots.
