It isn't always easy being green

A 10.45 push back away at Berkhamsted is never an easy ask, a text from a sleepy youngster 15 minutes before the scheduled meet time saying ‘I’m going to be late only just woken up’ didn’t get things off to the best of starts.
However a full XI did make it to the ground with young Alistair Wood acting as a stand in keeper. A balanced first half saw Sandy go 1-0 down despite several short corners and a good stint from Paul Barden who at times dominated the middle third of the pitch.
A disappointing second half saw Berkhamsted score another 3 as Shefford couldn’t seem to find a way through the Berko defence. A result that the opposition captain also admitted was more than flattering for his side. Final score 4-0.

Other highlights of the day saw Gully shower in the wrong changing room which then prevented several members of the ladies side from being able to change whilst he towelled off and a spot on match day tea of jacket potatoes and beans ?
A disappointing day out but as ever, we go again :)
