Men’s 4s welcomed Luton 4s to a rather chilly fortress Sandy. The opposition starting with 10 players with their 11th arriving 5 minuets into the game. Sandy in contrast had a squad of 14 including 2 debutants with Sam Giddings mate Ed and Paul Bardens son Lewis joining the fun of the fourths ?
Some early Luton pressure was relieved with Marcus Pennington drilling home directly from a short corner. Luton then pushed again only for the 4s to grab 2 more just before half time with Marcus again striking well from the top of the D and Elliot Wood cutting in from the left wing to make it 3-0 at half time.
Luton started the second half with a greater momentum and a few missed tackles allowed them to pull one back. However Darran France scored to push the game away from Luton before Sandy made sure of the victory with Zach Christodoulou banging in a fifth with a rare reverse stick ? .
A solid 5-1 victory against a side that put 7 past us at home last season. Teas were also well received by both sides , with a doughnut to player ratio of approximately 17-1 ?
