Hard day at the office

The Men’s 4s managed to scramble together 11 players after only being left with 9 bodies at 8pm on the Friday night. (Another Blunham CC player) Paul Barden offering his services and local lad Lex Jackson keen to relieve his 4 and a half minute uni Hockey career. The first of us arriving at the uni of Herts campus to be met by a giant tiger mascot who was ‘left hanging’ by Toby Morlidge who refused to give him a fist bump ?
WGC finished the first half 3-1 up with all of their goals having a touch of fortune about them. Darran France grabbing the S&S goal. Although S&S could have easily had 3 or even 4 goals had we shown a little more composure in the final 3rd.
The second half was a bit like the film space jam with half the team losing all ability to stop, control or pass the ball. 3 further Welwyn goals put the game to bed and the sports centre had also kindly locked the changing rooms so a rather smelly drive home to reflect on a tough day at the office.
