Two wins from two

S&S Men's 4 visited local rivals Stevenage for a 1pm push back. Stevenage quick to acknowledge that we were a very different side to the one that had beaten them 10-0 two weeks previously.
S&S only being able to recruit XI players for this fixture including Robbie Richmond recruited from (the mighty) Blunham Cricket Club saw a 'best fit' line up with a 3-4-3 formation including a Sven Goran Erickson style midfield diamond made up of Edward De Luca, Marcus Pennington, Richmond and Alistair Wood.
A tough first half saw Shefford finish 1-0 up with Alistair Wood tapping in a miscue from President Gully. Dale Coverdan, Sam Giddings and Toby Morlidge doing well to essentially mark the opposition front line out of the game.
The second half saw a period of sustained Stevenage pressure with Dom Wright being called into action on a couple of occasion and tipping one ferocious strike onto the post.
The pressure finally lifted with Ben Stevens grabbing two goals in quick succession to put the game beyond doubt.
