A great start to the league season for the men's 4s. St Albans 10s (!) turned up with 10 players and opted to play no goal keeper or kicking back, their left half also took the field in ankle socks and crocodile Dundee style cargo shorts (which by the sound of it were fully loaded). Despite the numerical advantage S&S found ourselves 2-1 down at half time with an Alistair Wood goal sandwiched in between the St Albans strikes.
A shuffle round and a back to basics approach saw Ben Stevens score 3 and Marcus Pennington picked up his first adult goal to put the game beyond doubt. James Steer making sure of the victory with a few tidy saves to keep the opposition out for the second half.
St Albans incredibly complementary of our youngsters despite Ben Stevens bundling their centre midfielder over on two separate occasions. St Albans themselves also an absolute pleasure to play against.
Mom - Ben for a well played hatrick
Donkey - Guest player Dom for missing an open goal (The watching crowd may have made him aware of his error).
Thanks to Pete and Pete for umpiring.
