Dominated the game

This was an intensely frustrating match for the Men's 2s in a game that they dominated from start to finish. A mixture of solid keeping, poor finishing and some brave Letchworth defending consorted to deny Shefford & Sandy.

In the first half chances fell to Elliiot Jones, Jakob Ooms, Stephen Williams & Robbie Stevens. The closest S & S came to a goal was a rasping shot from Lewis Bridger that rattled the upper part of the right hand post.

The ante was upped in the second half, with both teams going at it hammer & tongs. Both of the Letchworth goals were as a result of Penalty corners. This lead to last quarter assault on the Letchworth goal, S & S pulling a goal back from Penalty Corner, a neat one two between Williams & Bridger lead to the former lifting into the goal, Pete Reed, Tom Hollington & Williams all had good chances to equalise, but the Letchworth defence held firm to take the 3 points.
