On a bloody miserable day with persistent rain before, during and after the game the ladies 3's played host to top of the table and undefeated Bedford. The ladies knew this was always going to be a tough game and that it was a 'dig deep' kind of day.
The ladies started reasonably well but appeared panicked, taking a good 10 minutes to settle down and in to a rhythm, with support and fresh legs - well injured, poorly and soggy we thought we might have a home advantage with also a run of good form but sadly Bedford with a mixture of experience and youth just appeared to have that extra yard, and maybe that extra fight in this game to take two goal lead. The play was pretty even and often played in the middle 3rd of the pitch. Special mention to Casey making a crucial penalty flick save and further outstanding saves in the goal mouth.
Girlie of the Game: Zoe
Despite loosing the team played well and were happy with the performance and you cant saying fairer than that in defeat. The new year beckons and the ladies hope to continue with there great start to the season.
