S&S Ladies 3s hosted Stevenage 4s on a crisp, chilly Saturday morning. Within 10 minutes S&S were awarded a short corner. To guarantee a goal and take the lead, the plan was for Scarlett Howman to launch her trademark drag flick. Mission accomplished, 1-0 when the flight of the ball hit the inside of the keeper’s pads and went in. Freya Bradshaw increased the lead to 2-0 when she dispatched the ball past the Stevenage keeper. Stevenage regrouped to pull the score back to 2-1. Determined to not to let Stevenage back into the game any further, S&S pressed hard and Scarlett Howman’s shot nut megged one defender and then the keeper increasing the lead to 3-1. The second half saw S&S dominate possession. Howman not only got a hat trick, but managed to make it 4 for the day. A good day at the office for S&S. With only four matches left this season, the team are focused on maintaining second position in the division which will give them promotion to division 2! No surprise with the award of Girlie of the Game - Scarlett Howman.
