Shefford travelled to face 7th in the table Aylesbury. Despite some of the team driving around the Buckinghamshire countryside after Jacqui’s postcode hiccup - everyone did arrive on time. S&S started the game at a fast pace and Aylesbury found this very disconcerting and struggled to keep up with the surging runs from midfield. 20 mins in and Jayme’s powerful through ball found Tina at the top of the D, who calmly deflected the ball past the stunned Aylesbury keeper. Shefford completely dominated Aylesbury controlling all areas of the pitch. Aylesbury really struggled as Shefford tightened their hold on the match. After another bout of sustained pressure, Kirstin smashed the ball home to make it 2-0. Shefford maintained the high standard of play throughout the second half. The vision and distribution were excellent across the pitch. Shefford were on fire and Aylesbury couldn’t stand the heat. Tina wrapped things up- scoring her second and S&S’s third (must be those new shoes). Aylesbury had no reply as Shefford finished in the ascendency. It obviously put them off their food because they didn’t show up for teas. Girlie of the game went to Jayme but there were lots of contenders.
