Saturday win for the lads....

S & S 1s started their double header weekend with victory over 6th placed Upminster. The first half was fairly even, Upminster taking the lead, which S & S then produced two replies to. The first of which was a well drilled Penalty corner routine that was swept in by the injector Doug Dawson. The second was a good team effort, which started down the right, Elliot Jones picking the ball up & finding Stuart Robson, whose first time shot was well placed just inside the post. Just before half time Upminster pulled one back with a rather soft goal that should have been cleared.

The second half was mostly controlled by S & S, with Upminster being limited to sporadic raids that rarely threatened the goal. S & S increased their lead 15 minutes into the half, Robson on hand to collect his second. S & S put the game beyond doubt with a few minutes left Alyn Meredith with a simple finish confirming all 3 points.
