A disappointing result on a day when the Men's 1s did not quite click. An outstanding first half performance in goal from Pete Houghton kept S & S in the game at 2-1 down Chris Fell the scorer from a well taken Penalty corner.
The second half was dominated by S & S, a lifted finish from Stuart Robson brought the game back to 2-2, only for Cambridge to go ahead from a penalty corner. An outstanding third goal from Liam Stevens was the highlight of the game. A good long ball to Chris Fell, fell at the feet of Stevens, his tight turn was followed by a reverse stick finish into the roof of the net, completing an outstanding goal for the Shefford youngster.
3 became 4 as Stevens got his second after deflecting Fell's pile driver shot into the net. S & S then had a couple of chances to finish the game, but Cambridge caught them on the break to claim a merited draw.
