as Spalding take a late winner

It was wet and it snowed.

S&S travelled to Spalding in the hope of not conceding late on as they’d done in the previous two weeks.
In what could only be described as monsoon like conditions. Both teams managed to play a game of good quality considering the weather, where for a 5 minute spell it snowed!
With player/coach Alyn Meredith sidelined due to injury, he was able to enjoy watching how the side are improving each week and competing with some good teams in Prem B.

Spalding took the lead, with a smart finish after the ball fell to the forward with a few lucky deflections.

S&S welcomed back goalkeeper Pete Houghton who had a solid game and saw a Spalding forward fire his penalty flick over the bar.

1-0 at half time.

S&S had a spell of 15-20 minutes int he second half were they dominated the game and when a clear flick was awarded Chris Fell tied the game. S&S then missed some really good chances and thoughts went back to the previous two weeks where goals were conceded in the last two minutes. History repeated itself for a third week in a row as Spalding got the late winner.
