Men’s 1s 3 West Herts 2s 1
On a wet afternoon in Watford, Stu Robson was a shining light with a superb hat trick.
For the first 15 minutes S&S maintained possession fairly well, creating a few half chances, with both teams struggling in the rainy elements there wasn’t too much in terms of quality on view.
This was until Robson fired his first of the day home.
West herts hit back pretty quickly with a scrappy goal that their forward just managed to toe end it passed our keeper.
The game continued to be stop start with West Herts to their credit breaking up play or applying enough pressure to cause errors.
Robson then scored his second and soon after while he was having a rest in the opposition D, Chris Fell found him with a pin point pass and the midfielder slotted into an empty net to cap off a man of the match performance.
2 wins from 3 games in Prem B with 9 of yesterday’s 14 man squad having never played at this level is testament to the hard work that this group are putting in.
We welcome CoP 2s next week which will again bring a new challenge.
