Secretary and Performance Director

VACANCY – Post of Secretary
Applications are invited for the post of Secretary – East Region Hockey Association. This is a rewarding role for those who are committed to administration in the Region with particular emphasis on meeting organisation and recording (4 Board meetings annually plus AGM) together with communication and advise at all levels. Expenses are payable and a per meeting fee could be negotiated. The applicant will be expected to:
• Prepare and issue agendas and minutes of the Board and General Meetings in consultation with the President
• Arrange publication of minutes and Board reports, as deemed appropriate by the Board, on the Association’s web-site
• Act as the main communication link, as appropriate, with EH and with other relevant external bodies
• Deal with general correspondence, and
• Give help and advice as required to the Executive, Board, Directorates, Committees and other constituent members of the Association

VACANCY – Post of Development Director

Applications are invited for the post of Development Director – East Region Hockey Association. This is a rewarding role for those who are committed to creative organisational development in the Region with particular emphasis on communication at all levels of strategy and planning together with leading the integration and coordination of EH/Regional objectives. (Chairing 1 meeting and attending 4 Board meetings annually plus an AGM). The applicant will be expected to:
• Producing strategies, developing and updating a rolling 5 year plan for Board approval and executing such plans for the continued development of all aspects of Hockey in the East
• Responding to East development issues as directed by the Board
• Maintaining the East in line with EH Strategy and 4 year cycles
• Responsible for supporting and guiding development programmes
• Linking plans and actions with the support work of EH appointed Regional Officers in
o Development of officials, leaders, resources and activities
o Club accreditation
o Links to schools
• Work with EH in the continuing development of strategies and plans
• Review the constitution annually in order to maintain it as a ’living’ document and to make appropriate recommendations for changes, deletions and additions to the Board meeting prior to the AGM
